Dana will guest present for Natasha Brofsky and Cathy Cho’s Community Service Seminar Class at the Juilliard School.
Dana will present on topics including career development, talent fulfillment and health and wellness specifically geared to young cellists preparing for a professional career in performance and teaching.
Dana will be offering career advising sessions for attendees of the conference. Registration details and information for booking sessions can be found here.
Drawing on her experties as a performance coach, management consultant, financial advisor and psychotherapist, sessions can focus on the following topics:
Career guidance for chamber music ensembles including strategic planning, branding, marketing and networking
Clarify vision and strategic planning for boards, managers, presenters and administrations
Communication skills and conflict resolution for ensembles and organizations
Health and wellness and addressing burnout
Advising for administrators and teachers on mental health challenges in higher education
Dana will be working exclusively with the award winning ensemble of the apprentice string quartet award at Music in the Vineyards.
Her daily coaching and consulting will support the ensemble with career development, peak performance skills and community engagement presentations and performances.
Dana joins the acclaimed new music ensemble eighth blackbird for a guest presentation as part of the Black Creative Lab. The Lab’s mission is to inspire the next generation of performers and composers to share in the ensemble’s vision: to champion a distinctive, dynamic and engaging performance aesthetic. This intensive, human-centered experience will immerse lab fellows in a learn-by-doing, exploratory process of creating new work. By discovering and developing an audacious curatorial vision, lab fellows will be launched on their paths as provocateurs and visionaries in the arts.
