Dana will speak about her nontraditional career path from being a chamber music major and alumna at SFCM and how her career in music unexpectedly prepared her to become successful as a psychotherapist, entrepreneur and executive business coach.
Dana will be working exclusively with the award winning ensemble of the apprentice string quartet award at Music in the Vineyards.
Her daily coaching and consulting will support the ensemble with career development, peak performance skills and community engagement presentations and performances.
Dana joins the acclaimed new music ensemble eighth blackbird for a guest presentation as part of the Black Creative Lab. The Lab’s mission is to inspire the next generation of performers and composers to share in the ensemble’s vision: to champion a distinctive, dynamic and engaging performance aesthetic. This intensive, human-centered experience will immerse lab fellows in a learn-by-doing, exploratory process of creating new work. By discovering and developing an audacious curatorial vision, lab fellows will be launched on their paths as provocateurs and visionaries in the arts.
